Writing People First was one of the greatest honors of my career. It gave me the chance to sit down with incredible leaders who are actively building better workplaces by always putting their people first. And all these years later, they’re still reaping the rewards of their efforts.
Now that the book is turning four, I’ve been revisiting some of the messages I’ve received from readers. It’s been a joy to celebrate People First’s birthday by hearing what’s stuck with them and how they’ve put it into action:
- The pilot’s mindset helped readers shift their perspective and stay grounded for the long haul.
- Tools like the meeting checklist and career rock wall changed how teams run conversations, develop people, and think about growth.
- Readers shared how the book helped them rethink their language, redesign core values, spot blind spots, and better understand the difference between resistance to why and resistance to how.
If you’ve read People First but haven’t shared your favorite part yet, I’d love to hear it. Just hit reply and let me know what’s stuck with you.
And if you’re still not sure, the book is full of story after story of successful teams who are putting People First methods into action and seeing the payoff.
Help me celebrate my book’s birthday by purchasing a copy of People First today, and be on the lookout for the Audible launch date this month!!
