One Question I’d Love Your Help With

Can you believe my book People First turns four this August?

When I wrote the book, I wanted to challenge the way we think about leadership and offer something practical for teams in workplaces. Over the last four years, I’ve heard from so many leaders who’ve used the People First approach to create stronger teams, build better communication, and shift their focus in meaningful ways.  One guy even told me that they changed their company’s core values because of the book!

So now I have a favor to ask:

What’s your favorite People First nugget?

What stuck with you? What changed with how you lead? Whether it was a lightbulb moment or a phrase that still guides your decisions, I’d love to hear it. Just leave a comment to share your favorite People First nugget.

And if you’re looking for something to listen to this summer, here are two podcasts I was a guest on where I had the chance to share more about People First leadership.

About Amy Lafko

As a Physical Therapist, Amy spent years in school learning best practices for patient care and how to put the patient first. Like so many technically skilled clinicians, she advanced to a leadership role. Spending 20+ years in operational leadership, she had an epiphany: Putting the customer first isn’t the path to success or fulfillment. Rather, the most successful organizations and practices put their people first – and exceptional customer care, profitability, and effectiveness naturally followed.
